Well friday is here, weight loss is still 0 this week. Last week I chickened out, it was just too dark outside to walk. We only walked one day last week. This week was better we even walked in the rain! I was so wet when I got home, come to find out my walking pants are not waterproff.
I am just grateful I did not gain this week because Halloween candy did me in this week. I found myself steeling candy from my kids trick or treat bags...shhh don't tell them. Hopefully my kids wont read this..LOL.
Randi is home sick with some stomach bug, pray the rest of us don't get it!
Very disappointed about the election, but won't go into it. God is in control is all I can say.
I went to a cooking class last night, this was a good recipe
(like mini cinnamon rolls size)
Stir in together:
2 cups of flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup shortning
3/4 cup milk
Round up on lightly floured board or counter whatever you use, Knead lightly. Roll or pat out about 1/4" thick into a rectangle 7"x16". Spread with 2 tbsp softened butter (this is what the recipe says but we actually just spread butter all over the area evenly, so it was more than 2 tbsp) Sprinkle with mixture of 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon and raisins if desired.
Roll up tightly as for jelly roll, beginning at the way side.
Seal well by pinching edge of dough into roll. Cut into 1" slices. Place cut-side-down on greased baking sheet (we used a glass cassarole 13x9 dish)
Bake at 425 degrees for about 15 minutes
makes about 16 I would call mini cinnamon biscuit rolls
we did not use frosting but I would add the frosting next time I make them
Powdered sugar frosting Icing
I found off a website
2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
mix together..add a tablespoon of water if it is to thick

Just an update on the weight loss. As you can tell from the ticker above i've lost 3 pounds from last monday. Jill has lost 2 pounds AWESOME! We have decided to only weigh ourselves on friday after our walk. We walked last week monday wednesday and friday 2 miles each day. For some reason the weekends are the hardest for me to keep under control. I didn't like totally go overboard on the sweets but I wish I would of eaten less bad food, so I walked 2 miles on sunday to make up for my bad weekend. I am going to attempt to do 50 sit ups tonight.
My birthday is July 16th, so it would be a great birthday gift to have lost the 15 pounds before my birthday. Well see!

Well today is Beth's 40th birthday and they wanted to get pedicures and do lunch and P.F. Changs if thats how you spell it. I have never had a pedicure and was very reluctant but the other jumped right in! As you can see they got a starbucks drink, they got their feet soaked while having a chair massage. Then off to lunch as P.F Changs. Great food, you have to try the lettuce wraps! Everything was great. Beth got a cool desert in a small little cup, she wouldn't share...just kidding. We had a great time, would love to do it again soon. My birthday is coming up in July so we all need to do it again.!! Happy Birthday Beth!!

I worked for a bit in the morning with my husband, I was in the back room and had the doors open which I had a view of the back ally way of the business. I happened to look up and couldn't believe my eyes, not 20 feet away was a coyote walking by the doors. I gasped, the coyote looked right at me and I was scared it was going to try to come into the store, but it just kept on walking. Then a car drove by she was on a cell phone following the coyote, so I assumed she was talking to the police. The coyote proceeded onto the one of the main roads in richland, Jadwin and I don't know what happened to it after that. I had never seen one up close.
After work we took the kids to the park for a little bit, then headed for steves sister Jamies house for wonderful food!! We were surprised to find the Shelbys and Carol there, it was nice to have them there. Tons of kids, water fights and yummy food, and great company! Can't beat that. We even took a family photo or should I say photos. The weather was wonderful, nice and sunny. I ate way too much, too many good cooks in the family.
Steve tried working on the dishwasher he thinks its the pump. We found we have a home warranty, so we have a call in to them to have someone fix the dishwasher. Woahwoah!!
Please pray for steve, he has a court date this friday. A few weeks ago he got pulled over, he had no idea why because he said he was not speeding so when he got pulled over he was shocked. When the police officer came to the window he said do you know why I pulled you over? Steve said actually no i don't. The police officer said " you have an expired drivers license. Steve said "I do?" Apparently it had been expired for 5 weeks, how did the cop know that? if he was not speeding he apparently ran steves license plates , is that legal if he haden't even done a moving violation? anyway the cop gave him a ticket it read $550.00 fine !!!!!!!! So he renewed his license, and has court on friday. Please pray that it gets dropped or the fine gets lowered.
tip of the day "Don't let your license expire!!"

my beautiful dishwasher how I miss you sooo. Living in my old place with no dishwasher for 7 years, all i wanted for me new home is a dishwasher. I forgot the days of washing by hand. I just had to wash two days worth of dishes by hand, boo-hoo. The dishwasher in our new home is brand new only 7 months old, I noticed that there was a puddle of water inside the bottom of the dishwasher, i looked in the manual and it said that it is not draining properly, I thought to myself oh i'm so thankful it has a warranty on it. I proceeded to read and of course it looks like that is one of the only things that is not covered by the warranty grrrrrrrr. Does anybody know how to unclog it? draino"? is that not safe? any suggestions...oh how I miss my dishwasher.

Well yesterday my husband started a new job! What an answer to prayer. It feels weird being in the house alone without him here, but now maybe I can get stuff done (hee hee)
I have been having a rough time with my youngest in the mornings trying to get him ready for school has been such a challenge lately, the water works don't stop it's just drama drama drama. He says he does not like school, but I think he just does not like it for it gets in the way of him watching cartoons. Most mornings I feel like a drill sargent trying to get things going, there has got to be an easier way to be positive in the mornings, does anyone have any suggestions? I could really use it.

I wanted to explain about the bible verse I have in my title. A couple of weeks ago my husband and I were in a conversation about the possibilities of a different job for him. As most of you know we ran a restaurant until august, and then we bought a house to just fix up and its in the process of selling. We have been praying about where we think we should head in the employment department, we threw around ideas of what we would like to do, but the discussion is not easy, we prayed that we want to do what God wants us to do. So me being the woman, its hard when theres the unknown of the future, and of course I have to worry. So after this discussion, he went into the living room and was reading his bible. I decided to list some books for sale I sell books online so I decided to list a set of books for sale that about a week before I had bought at a library book store, and I was flipping through this paperback book and a piece of paper fell out onto the floor. I picked it up and it read " In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:6
I about fell out of my chair, and I started laughing. I showed it to my husband, and he thought it was really cool. Then a couple of days later we went with Jills husband Ron to help a family clean out the basement in their house and we had been there about an hour, my husband was in the house and I was outside. He came to me and said God has a message for you. I looked at him like what are you talking about. Down in the basement, which I don't think had been used in a long long time, he had found a picture of Jesus and the verse was the exact same verse and the day before. Wow do you think God wants me to know he is control, It was something i'll never forget
